Knoxville, Tennessee · Concept in development

No driver.
No wheel to
take. Just go.

Vols Robotaxis is an independent plan to bring driverless, all-electric rides to Knoxville. You would ride in the back. Nobody up front. No rides are running yet — join the local waitlist for launch news and early access.

Home base

A driverless
ride, on roads
we know.

Downtown to the airport. Campus to the river. The same streets you already drive — the ones we would map first.

Autonomy, run
by East
Tennesseans.

We plan to operate a fleet of driverless, all-electric vehicles as an independent Knoxville business. No vehicle or technology partner has been announced yet. What we can say now is who would run it: the routes, the service, and the people answering the phone would be East Tennesseans.

01

You request the ride

Tap once. The nearest empty car in the fleet is dispatched to your curb.

02

Nobody gets out

There is no driver to greet, tip, or talk to. The doors unlock for you and only you.

03

The car drives itself

The plan is a car that handles the whole route — no driver, no handoff mid-trip.

04

It’s electric, so it’s quiet

No engine, no exhaust, no gas stop between fares.

01

The goal is a ride with no driver and no handoff mid-trip — the vehicle running the route curb to curb.

02

Electric

An all-electric fleet. No engine noise, no exhaust, no gas stop between fares.

03

Local

Intended to be owned and operated in Knoxville, mapped around the roads, events, and destinations we already know.

Building the local business, gathering rider interest, and preparing for an autonomous fleet.

NextCommunity updates

Sharing verified milestones — vehicles, service area, and regulatory approvals — as they land.

LaterEarly access

Waitlist members would be invited first, if and when driverless service opens in Knoxville.

No rides are available today. No launch date, service area, fare, vehicle, or technology partner has been announced. Vols Robotaxis is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Tesla, Inc. or the University of Tennessee.
